Mr. Webb grew up in Louisiana where he enjoyed being outdoors especially fishing, hunting and treasure hunting with his metal detector. Norman was declined to join the military do to a hearing problem, he instead went to work building the Panama Canal, and always felt that was the second best thing next to fighting to help his country. He was always inventing “new things” and once invented a motor that ran off of water instead of gasoline! But most of all, he was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who will be missed by all that knew him.
Mr. Webb was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Iva; and two sons, Dan and Jerry Webb. He is survived by four grandchildren, Jack Webb and wife Dina, Stormy Hightower and husband Robert, Kimberly Lane Webb and wife Theresa, Dan Wesley Webb and Louis Webb; daughter-in-laws, Shirley and Diane Webb; step grandchildren, Benny Allen and wife Amy, and Janie Allen; as well as numerous great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 25, 2011 at Hill Crest Memorial Park with Brother Attaway officiating the service.
