BOSSIER CITY, LA- A Committal Service with Military Honors will be held for Myron Dale “Spike” Western, 48, will be held on Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Northwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery in Keithville, Louisiana.
Dale was born on July 13, 1966 in Indianapolis, Indiana to parents Myron and Peggy Western and went to be in the arms of the Lord on January 20, 2015 in Bossier City, Louisiana. He was a 1984 graduate of Bossier High School. He was best known in high school for his bull riding skills. After high school, he answered the call of his country by joining the United States Air Force serving for 8 years as a medic. He proudly served in Desert Shield/Storm. After the military, he settled into work as a radio personality in country music and sports radio. Recently he enjoyed being an Extra in many films that he was a part of here in Shreveport. His biggest love was being an LSU fan on Saturdays and a Saint’s fan on Sundays.
He is survived by his loving daughter, Brittany Western; father, Mike Western and wife Suzanne; mother, Peggy Western; sister, Joyce Winslow and husband Don; brother, Justin Western; nieces and nephews, Raleigh, Andrew and Nicole.
