Louise was born on September 29, 1939 in Lillie, Louisiana to parents Cleo and George Goss. After graduating from Byrd High School in 1957, she went to work in downtown Shreveport, Louisiana where she met her husband, John Ed Farrar. Together they had three children, Brenda, Paula and Stacie. She later worked at Louisiana State University School of Medicine for 25 years.
Louise loved spending time with her family. She was an exceptional cook and talented seamstress. Louise was an avid sports fan, particularly LSU football and baseball. She was also a devoted member of Cypress Baptist Church.
Louise was preceded in death by her mother and father. She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, John Ed, daughters Brenda Meyers (Randy), Paula Bates (Scott), and Stacie Webb; sister, Janice Birchfield; and grandchildren Brandon Meyers (Kelsey), Sydney Mott (Adam), Christopher Bates (Sarah Ellen), Peyton Donaldson (Katelyn), and Hannah Donaldson.
Services for Louise will be held at Hillcrest Funeral Home in Haughton, LA on December 31, 2022 at 2:00pm. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 1:00pm to 2:00pm. Pallbearers will be Randy Meyers, Scott Bates, Christopher Bates, Peyton Donaldson, Brandon Meyers, Adam Mott and Steven Farrar.
