BOSSIER CITY, LA – A memorial service celebrating the life of Jimmie Lee Blackmon, III will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at Bellaire Baptist Church. Visitation will begin at 12:00 p.m. Inurnment will follow at Hill Crest Memorial Park, Haughton, LA.
Jimmie was born in Landstuhl, Germany on April 4, 1970 and passed away on February 3, 2018 in Shreveport, LA. He was a physical therapist, who used his gifts to be God’s hands extended, and bring healing to those in need. Jimmie loved and cared about people. Always willing to give of his time to help anyone in need; he never expected anything in return or sought recognition. He did everything as unto the Lord. Jimmie’s interests included anything to do with tennis, trout fishing, and repairing anything that was broken. He loved his family and worked hard, long hours to provide for them. Jimmie was fun, loving, and had a quirky sense of humor that we all loved. He could light up a room with his smile.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jimmie Blackmon, Jr.
Jimmie is survived by his loving wife of 17 years, Alyssa Blackmon; precious children, Connor Blackmon, Nicholaus Blackmon, Addison Blackmon, Andrew Massery and Adam Massery; mother, Joyce Blackmon; sisters, Rhonda Jordan and husband Billy, Vanessa Sattler and husband Ray; nieces, nephews, many other precious family members; and his beloved pets, Lexie, Tater, Stewie, Tiki, and Autumn.
The family would like to thank Christus Schumpert Highland ICU, for their loving care during his brief illness.
