BENTON, LA – Services for James “Ghostbuster” Weems, Jr. will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, May 12, 2014 at Hill Crest Memorial Chapel with Rev. Andrew Bates officiating. Interment will follow at Hill Crest Memorial Park. Visitation will be held and hour prior to service at 2:00 p.m.
James was born in Shreveport, LA on March 30, 1952 to James Weems, Sr. and Thelma Louise Permenter. He was preceded in death by his father and brother Michael Weems, Sr.
He is survived by his mother Thelma Permenter Small, daughters Peggy Weems and Josh Bellamy, Christine and Josh Minor, grandchildren David, Cheyenne, Jessica and Camrin, great granddaughter Mary, brothers Joe Weems, Danny Weems and Bill Small.
Pallbearers will be Josh Bellamy, Michael Weems, Jr., Shaun Weems, Bill Small, Pat Livingston and Robbie Pelt.
Memorial donations may be made for the family in honor of James to Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home.
The family would like to thank Mrs. Hazel, Ms. Beverly, Dr. Steell and to everyone involved in James’ care.
