Celebration of Life services for Garland Austin McCoy, Jr. (Luke), 50, will be 10 a.m., Thursday, June 10, 2010 at Central Assembly of God Chapel with Pastor Andy Harris officiating. The family will be receiving friends for visitation Wednesday, June 9, 2010 from the hours of 5-8 p.m. at Hill Crest Memorial.

Luke went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, June 5, 2010. He was a warm and caring man whom loved his family, church and friends very much. He and his wife resided in Haughton where they attended church at Central Assembly of God. He was a wonderful son, a great father, a loving husband and a friend to all who crossed his path. We were blessed to have him with us for 50 years. He loved riding trails on his four-wheeler and gaming on his computer and was a lover of life.

He leaves behind a wife, Sherri, two sons, Jonathan and Joshua, three step-daughters, Angie, Karen and Kelli, mother, Joyce and father Garland Sr., two sisters, Kelley and Cindy, their husbands, Randy and Johnny, a niece, Renee and two nephews, Hunter and Fisher, dozens of aunts, uncles and cousins and many, many friends. He was also “Pawpaw” to five precious grandchildren, Cheyenne, Caleb, Cameran, Natalie, and Jayden. He will be greatly missed by all.
