Debra A. Huckabee of Bossier City, Louisiana, Passed away on January 24, 2023 after a long illness. She was born in Shreveport, Louisiana to Denver and Willie Schaffer Huckabee on October 14, 1955. Debra graduated Airline High School and went on to graduate from Northeast Louisiana University with a degree in education.
She worked at United Mercantile Bank, Hibernia Bank and FDIC but spent over 20 years at Pickett Industries in Bossier City. She was a member of Airline Church of Christ and taught children’s bible class. She loved reading, going to the movies, and traveling with friends and family.
Debra is preceded in death by her father Berry D. Huckabee.
She survived by her mother Willie Huckabee; two sisters, Donna and Denise; one brother, David; Aunts, Audrey Lee and Johnni Huckabee; as well as beloved cousins and dear friends.
We would like to Thank, Trey Morris, Deuce Singara, Reed, Tina, Courtney, Amanda and other co-workers at Pickett Industries and her lifelong friend, Janet Pringle for their love and support. We would also like to Thank, Progressive Care nurses, aides and staff for their unbelievable love and care.
Honorary Pallbearers will be, David Huckabee, Dean Lee, Robin Lee, Bobby Presley and Don Presley.
Visitation will be held Saturday, January, 28, 2023 from 10:00 – 11:00 am in the Hill Crest Funeral Home Chapel. Service will be directly after Visitation. Interment will follow in Hill Crest Memorial Park.
The family request that, in lieu of flowers, donations be sent to her favorite charities; Bossier Kids, The Airline Church of Christ Back-Pack Program.
