Services for David Michael Holdsworth, 67, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 9, 2022, at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home. The family will be receiving visitors from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. prior to the service.
Michael was born May 3, 1954, in Shreveport, Louisiana and passed away on March 5, 2022, at Willis Knighton Pierremont, in Shreveport, Louisiana, surrounded by family and friends.
Michael was a retired Bossier City Police Officer. He later obtained a Masters Degree in Psychology and a Doctorate Degree in Family and Marriage Counseling. He worked as a family counselor for many years. He loved to fish, hunt and tinker with cars, but more than anything, he loved being with his family.
Michael is survived by his wife of 32 years, Carol Faulk Holdsworth. He is also survived by his children, Rayenell Holdsworth Hartzog (Paul), Miche'al Holdsworth Edmiston (Bobby), Erin Holdsworth, Tyler Holdsworth, Peyton Holdsworth, Dawson Holdsworth, and Zach King; brother, Richard (Bubba) Holdsworth II (Sonya); sisters, Dana Holdsworth Isom and Jamie Holdsworth Tyler (David); grandchildren, Lindsay, Kade, Jude, Blake, Zachary, Ashley and Jesse; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
A special love and thanks goes to brother-in-law, Dr. David Tyler. The family would also like to thank the incredible Willis Knighton Pierremont ICU staff, and Dr. David Green. The incredible Claiborne Memorial Medical Center ICU staff and Dr. Scott Haynes.
