Chase Miller Parker

SHREVEPORT, LA - Chase Miller Parker, youngest son to Chad and Charlene Parker, was born on November 3, 2016 and became a peaceful sleeping angel on the morning of January 5, 2017. In his two precious months of life, he was adored by all who knew him. Those months were full of cousin snuggles and much adoration from family and friends. The time spent with this sweet soul was undoubtedly a piece of Heaven on Earth. Chase was placed in his parents’ arms through the beauty of open adoption. His loving birth parents, Joe Garza and Roxanne Vitela, chose the Parkers to become Chase’s forever family. The enormity of this act of love overwhelms our hearts. The privilege of being Chase’s parents will forever be one of our greatest honors.

Chase is survived by his parents, Chad and Charlene Parker and his big brother Charles Henry as well as his birth parents Joe Garza and Roxanne Vitela. Others left to cherish his memory are his maternal grandmother, Evelyn Miller; paternal grandparents, Brenda Parker and Dan and Suzette Parker; great grandmother, Lelia Parker; aunts and uncles, Matt and Christy Stillwell, Kelli Parker and Dan Tuttle; cousins, Aiden and Owen Stillwell.

Chase is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Charles Miller; maternal great grandparents, B.K. and Artie Miller and Buddy and Eleanor Lefeaux; paternal great grandfather, Fred Parker; paternal great grandparents, T.E. and Marion Kierbow.

Honoring Chase as pallbearers are Patrick Denney, Justin Hornsby, Blake Smith and Patrick Temple. Honorary pallbearers are Chase’s cousins; Aiden and Owen Stillwell, Dalton and Rayleigh Lewis, Andrew and Tate Fegley, and Brooke Fegley.

Services for Chase will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 11, 2017, at Broadmoor Baptist Church, 4110 Youree Dr., Shreveport, LA. Interment will follow in Hill Crest Memorial Park, 601 Hwy. 80, Haughton, LA. Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. on Tuesday evening, January 10, 2017, also at Broadmoor Baptist Church.
