Bonnie Marie Gongre

She has finally reached the pearly gates to again see her mother and father, Bernis and Hargrove Gongre; and sisters, Betty Sue Welch and Barbara Ann Welch.

Bonnie was born in Montgomery, LA on November 4, 1961 and filled the hearts of all she met as a free spirit on this earth. She loved unconditionally and laughed easily with friends and strangers alike. As a seamstress she mended clothing and damaged materials, and as a mother she mended skinned knees and broken hearts. She was joyous, generous, inquisitive, and wild – and there will never be another like her!

She is survived by her daughter, Leigh Ann Rigsby; her son and his wife, Chase and Kirsten Horn; her beloved grandson, Leelyn Fox Horn; her sister, Brenda Gongre-Curlee; and many loved nieces and nephews.

A memorial will be held Sunday, June 25, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at The Summit of Bossier City, 5400 E Texas St, Bossier City, LA 71111 for all to attend. We encourage everyone to come share your favorite stories, happy memories, and love.
