Bobbie Jean Woods Jordan

Bobbie grew up in the small town of Jigger, Louisiana, where she attended school and enjoyed activities such as basketball and spending time with her friends and family. She went on to pursue a career in insurance sales at Mutual of Omaha, where she received numerous awards for her contributions. Bobbie was also a member of First Bossier Baptist Church, where she enjoyed singing in the church choir and was a prominent member of the groups Divas, Diamondset, and Prayer Warriors. Bobbie loved being social. Being a people person, anyone who once was a stranger often quickly became a friend.

Bobbie was preceded in death by her father, Wesley Woods; mother, Loretta Williams; brother, Grady Woods; son, Billy Jordan; and grandson, Kevin Shepherd. She is survived by the love and support of family members including her daughter, Patricia Shelton-Mercer and husband Patrick Mercer; sons, Robert Shelton, Norman Jordan, Ricky Jordan, and Jerry Jordan; granddaughter, Stephanie Fiut and her family, EJ Davis; and great granddaughter, Alessa Fiut; grandson, Timothy Fiut and his family, Tabitha Fiut and great granddaughter, Brooklyn Fiut, as well as countless other family and friends.

Services for Bobbie will be at 2:00 P.M., Monday, June 5, 2023, at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home, officiated by Bro. Danny Nugent. A brief visitation will begin at 1:00 P.M. prior to the service. Bobbie will be laid to rest within Hill Crest Memorial Mausoleum.
