Annie R. Moore

Annie Russell Moore, 82, of Shreveport, Louisiana was called home to the Lord on June 23, 2014 after a lengthy and courageous battle with dementia. A visitation will be held at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home at 10:00 A.M. followed by a memorial service at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, July 1, 2014.

Ann was born on March 25, 1932 in Springhill, Louisiana. She later graduated from Sarepta High School. She loved antiquing, crocheting, sewing and playing scrabble. She was a devoted Christian, mother and mamaw.

She is survived by one brother, Leon Russell of Houston, Texas; daughter, Linda Smart Cranford and son-in-law James W. Cranford of Haughton; two granddaughters and their husbands: Carrie and Mark Phillips of Haughton, as well as Amanda and Chuck Priestly of Texarkana, Texas; her former husband Henry J. Moore; and five loving great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Alta Mae and Floyd Russell and first husband John T. Smart.

The family wishes to express sincere appreciation to the staff of Pierremont Healthcare as well as Christus Schumpert Hospice for their excellent care and compassion.
