BOSSIER CITY LA – Celebration of Life Services for Adam Lee Long, affectionately known as Spidey to the children of St. Jude will be held on Monday, October 21, 2013 at 12:00 noon at Open Door Bible Church with Pastor Gary Weaber officiating. Interment will follow in Hill Crest Memorial Park. The family will receive visitors from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 20, 2013 at Hill Crest Funeral Home.
Adam was born on January 25, 1989 in Bossier City and went to be with the Lord on October 17, 2013 after a long courageous battle with cancer. He was an active member of Open Door Bible Church, loved working out, jet skiing, hunting, singing especially in church and playing his Taylor guitar and helping the children at St. Jude with their battles with cancer. He was an inspiration to many people. Adam had a smile and a sense of humor that was contagious, he will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Denise Colby Long. He is survived his fiance’, Rachel Barille; his father, Ricky Long and wife Terri; grandparents, Jerry and Helen Long, David and Gail Colby and Don and Susan Bennett; his beloved friend, and companion his dog, Hawk Long; sisters Cassie Yeager, Kaitlyn Long; brother, Hunter Colby Long; step-brothers and sisters, Tyler, Reid, Tricia, Kristen, Jordyn, Stephanie and Lexi; aunts, Samantha Cook and husband Ray, Danielle Adams and husband Tom; nieces, Mia and Andrea; nephews, Elliott and Ryder.
