Born August 22, 1927 in Harrisburg, he was the son of the late William S. Miller Jr. and Caroline Hahn Miller. He was preceded in death by his brother, David.
Bill is survived by Joanne, his wife of 65 years, sister Ann Snoddy and three children: William IV and wife Judith, daughter Patricia and son Douglas and wife Sandra; five grandchildren and a great-grandson.
Bill was the former owner of W. S. Miller and Sons, Inc. (General Contractors) and a U.S. Army veteran of both WWII and the Korean War achieving the rank of Master Sergeant. He served four terms on the Paxtang Borough Council as well as four terms as the Mayor of Paxtang.
He was a 70-year member of Paxton Presbyterian Church and a graduate of The Pennsylvania State University, class of 1950. Bill was an avid hunter and fisherman, making numerous trips to the family cottage in Canada as well as Texas and other locations.
Private funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, December 21, 2020 at Neill Funeral Home, 3501 Derry Street with public visitation beginning at 10AM until time of service. Burial will be at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
