Born February 7, 1963 in Harrisburg, he was the son of the late Kenneth and Rose Marie (Bihl) Dietz Sr.; he was preceded in death by his brother, Kenneth Dietz Jr.
Surviving are his wife of 34 years, Janella E. (Fetterman) Dietz; daughter, Rachel E. Hollenbach (husband, Jason); son, Jared W. Dietz (wife, Jennifer); two grandsons, Jacob Hollenbach and Liam Dietz; two brothers, Michael Dietz (wife, Anita) and Mark Dietz (wife, Amy); four sisters, Camille Smeltz (husband, Don), Carole Hetrick (husband, Ron), Rosemary Morris (husband, Mike) and Maria Howard (husband, Ed);sister-in-law, Kathryn Dietz; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Bill was an HVAC Specialist for Meier Supply. He was a beloved Disc Jockey and co-owner of Calypso Entertainment with his longtime friend and DJ partner, Tim Delp. They brought joy to innumerable weddings and other gatherings for nearly 3 decades.
Bill loved dancing and singing karaoke, and was a regular at venues throughout the area. He enjoyed playing cards with family and friends, and coaching youth soccer for Swatara Township. Bill was a jack of all trades; he enjoyed home improvement projects and was everyone’s “go-to guy”.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:30 AM Saturday, December 10, 2022 at Neill Funeral Home, 3501 Derry St., Harrisburg. A visitation will precede the service starting at 10:00 AM.
