
Nework William Shick, age 95, of Narvon, PA, passed away peacefully and surrounded by loved ones on Tuesday morning, April 15, 2025 at Zerby Retirement Community. He was born on November 13, 1929, in Trevose, PA, the son of the late Clarence and Jessie Shick. He was predeceased by his sister Joan, brother Mervin and sister Doris. Nework is survived by his loving wife Diane of 39 years, half-sister Sandy Falls (Shick), and his 3 sons, Wayne (Linda), Glenn (Lynn) and Brent (Lisa). He loved, cherished, and enjoyed spending time with his 10 wonderful grandchildren and 18 beautiful great grandchildren.
He loved the outdoors and his "fast" toys including cars, motorcycles, boats and snowmobiles. He was a successful businessman and started his own kitchen cabinet business he called Weekend Pioneer (now called Century Kitchens) when he was in his 20's and owned for over 30 years. He enjoyed traveling to all parts of the country with his wife in their motor home.
Nework was a very compassionate and generous person with his family, employees, church and community. He was especially committed to Three Springs Ministry in Morris, PA. He was part of the Rotary Club and a Board member at Trevose Bank. He was a member of High Point Baptist Chapel, Birdsboro, PA.
A Celebration of Nework's life will be held at 11am, on Saturday, May 24, 2025 at the High Point Baptist Chapel. Family will receive friends at 10am until the time of the service.
