Mary Rakoczy

Mary Rakoczy, of Harrisburg, PA, passed away on May 16, 2022. She was born on January 19, 1937, along with her twin sister, Elizabeth, in Bronx, New York. She was the daughter of Henry and Elisabeth Beil. She was a graduate of Walton High School in New York and continued her studies with a degree from the American Institute of Banking. Mary is survived by her husband, John Rakoczy, her daughter Perri Brown (husband Douglas), her son Douglas Rakoczy (wife Susan), and her twin sister Elizabeth Dispenziere (husband Nick, deceased). Mary is also survived by her grandchildren Gregory Brown (wide Noel), Christopher Brown, Jacob Rakoczy, Julia Rakoczy, and Joshua Rakoczy as well as two great-grandchildren Kyle and Riley Brown. She was predeceased by her son Christopher Rakoczy and her parents Elisabeth Miller and Henry Beil. In June 1969, the family moved from New York and settled in Harrisburg, PA. Mary accepted a position with AMP Incorporated and later with the AMP foundation (Tyco Electronics Foundation) before retiring in 2014. Mary was a member of the St. Catherine Laboure Catholic Church. Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to the Greater Harrisburg Foundation, 200 N. 3rd St., 8th Floor, Harrisburg, PA 17101 in the name of Christopher J. Rakoczy Memorial Fund.
