Linda Lou Gladfelter Formica passed away on January 22 at her home. She passed away as a result of a heart attack. Linda was the daughter of the late Kenneth Gladfelter and the late Delores Glafelter Henson. Linda was born in Lewisburg, Pa. She moved to Harrisburg where she met and married Tony Formica, her loving and devoted husband of 17 years until her death.
Linda was a bright and energetic person with an infectious smile. She captivated everyone she met. She had many talents, including gardening, landscaping, and sewing. Her flower and vegetable gardens could rival any professional nursery. She loved motorcycle rides in the summer and listening and dancing to Blues Bands. Linda was a member of the Blues Society of Central Pennsylvania. She enjoyed listening to Slaughterhouse Blues, and the Cornwallace Band, especially when her husband Tony was singing and playing. Linda loved her dogs, Big Daddy, Chick Pea, and Sneefum.
Linda was proceeded in death by her father, mother and brother Ralph Gladfelter. Linda is survived by her husband Tony, one son Chip Weller of Milton, one granddaughter, 2 brothers Gary Gladfelter of Arizona, Tom Gladfelter of Louisiana, and one sister Sandy Gladfelter Koch (Rick) of Mifflinburg Pa, 5 sister-in-laws of Harrisburg [Stacey Cole(Lee), Mary Rita Wilk (John), Ann Suknaic (John), Ellen Corbett (Dan), Jennifer Formica], and one brother-in-law Joe Formica (Colleen), many nieces and nephews who thought she was an icon, and friends too many to count. Linda was loved by all and will be greatly missed.
