

She was a graduate of Hubley Township class of 1952. Esther was a member of The Valleys Evangelical Covenant Church for 53 years. She was also a member of the Halifax Garden Club, Halifax VFW Post 5750 Ladies Auxiliary and the Halifax Historical Society. Esther loved attending church and being with her church family, gardening, playing UNO, working puzzles and cross-stitch. She retired from PHEAA in Harrisburg.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Kermit K. Masser who passed away in 2016. Surviving are her children Kenneth and wife Susan of Duncannon, Kathy Snyder and husband Russell, Keith and wife Joni and Karen Reiner and husband Victor all of Halifax. Her six grandchildren, Michael and Nicholas Reiner, Kaitlyn and Kendra Masser and Colton and Quinton Masser. She is also survived by two brothers, Harry Smeltz (Mary) of Halifax and Walter Smeltz (Gladys) of Lykens Township, along with many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2025 at The Valleys Evangelical Covenant Church, 3682 Peters Mountain Road, Halifax, PA17032. Visitation is at 10:00 a.m. with the services to begin at 11:00 a.m.with Pastor Adam London officiating. Inurnment will be held at Fort Indiantown Gap National Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Valleys Evangelical Covenant Church.
