Dorothy S. Reed

Dorothy S. Reed, 88, of Harrisburg, passed away Saturday, January 25, 2014 at Colonial Park Care Center; she was born August 9, 1925 in Harrisburg; she was the daughter of the late Guy and Mae (Kirby) Shetron; and preceded in death by her husband, Donald Reed, and her sister-in-law, Grace Reed.

Dottie was a retired employee from Bell Telephone and a former buyer for Lane Bryant Co; a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd and a graduate of John Harris High School, Class of 1943.

Surviving are her son, Doug Reed, of Dauphin; a sister, Vivian Weakland, of Mechanicsburg; a granddaughter; a great-granddaughter, 2 nephews and a niece.

Memorial Service will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, January 30, 2014 in the Neill Funeral Home, 3501 Derry St., Harrisburg. Burial will follow in the Paxtang Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 10:30 AM Thursday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
