David Harry Updegrove

David was a hard-working father/husband with a great sense of humor. He was a heavy equipment operator for most of his adult life until his retirement in 2011. He loved fishing, hunting and riding his Honda Gold Wing motorcycle with Mom. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Surviving are brothers: Thomas Updegrove Jr., Ernest (Butchy) Updegrove and sister: Shirley Moyer. Daughters: Debra Grimsley, wife of Robert Grimsley of Minersville, Barbara Althouse, wife of Michael Althouse Sr. Of Myerstown and Estella Satter, partner of Thomas (Eric) Taggert of Exeter, eight grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his father, Thomas Updegrove, Sr., mother Anna Updegrove in 2024, wife Helen M Updegrove (Griesemer) in 2018, daughter Helen Updegrove in 2015, and grandson Ronald Russel Shultz Jr. In 2022.

The family will hold a private memorial service.
