She was preceded in death by her parents: Fernando and Guadalupe Garcia, husband: Claudio Salas, daughter: Viola Martinez, and grandson: Johnathon Martinez. Brothers: Pilar Garcia, Beto Garcia, Lupe Garcia, Rafael Garcia, sister: Lola Saldana.

She is survived by her beloved children: Pedro (Lidia) Rivera of Harlingen, Tx., Gloria Salas, of Indiana, Agripia (Lorenso) Enriquez of San Benito, Tx, Claudio Salas Jr. of San Benito, Tx., Sara (Robert) Cervantes of Garland, Tx., Rene Salas of Dallas, Tx., Sylvia (Tony) Garza of Harlingen, Tx., Martina (Rudy) Gonzales of Harlingen, Tx. Friend; Leticia Zamora. 28 grandchildren, 64 great grandchildren, 7 great great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 21, 2014 from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.. Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. A Mass will be held on Thursday, May 22, 2014, 11:00 a.m., at St. Benedicts Catholic Church, San Benito, Texas. Burial of ashes will be held on Saturday, May 24, 2014 at Mont Meta Memorial Park, San Benito, Texas.

A special Thank You and appreciation to her grandson, Ramon Rivera, Odyssey Hospice and nurse Miriam for all their attention.
