Jose Garza

Jose Garza, 50, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, March 2, 2010 at Valley Baptist Medical Center surrounded by his family. He was born and raised in San Benito, Texas and later moved to Phoenix, Arizona where he married his wife. He lived to the fullest driving as a out of state driver while living in Texas, moved to Arizona for 20 years working construction and as a back hoe operator, and then he moved back to San Benito, Texas to be with his family.

He is preceded in death by his loving mother, Matilde G. Garza.

He is survived by his loving wife of 5 years, Lucy Garza; his children, Jose Garza, Jr., Melinda Garza from Harlingen, Stefanie Garza, Jose Antonio Garza, Tony Guadalupe Garza all from Phoenix, AZ. He is also survived by his father, Guadalupe Garza, Sr.; his brothers, Guadalupe (Elena) Garza, Jr., Juan (Vicky) Garza, Guadalupe Ricardo (Eva) Gonzalez; his sisters, Martha G. (Samuel Jr.) Reyes from Phoenix, AZ, Herminia G. (Arnoldo) De Los Santos, Dora Garza-Roel, Lucy Garza, Irma G. (Adalberto) Garcia. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Thursday, March 4, 2010 from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel Chapel. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, March 5, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Benedict’s Catholic Church in San Benito, Texas. With accordance with his wishes, cremation will follow.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are: Guadalupe Garza, Jr., Juan Garza, Felix Garza, Arnoldo De Los Santos, Jr., Guadalupe Ricardo Gonzalez, Ricardo Garza, Roel Garza, Ruben Cortez, and Jonathan Gonzalez.
