Frieda Edna Springer

FRIEDA EDNA SPRINGER, 87, of Harlan, passed away on Wednesday, May 27, 2015, at Parkview Memorial Hospital. Born Aug. 19, 1927, in Wood-burn, she was a daughter of the late Henry and Bertha (Lehman) Bartell. Frieda was a homemaker and also a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. She was a people person and enjoyed helping her neighbors, caring for people and being involved in the church. Surviving are her daughters, Sandra (Bristle) Amburgey of Harlan, Wanda Springer and Ramona Springer, both of Fort Wayne; son, Robert Springer of Malone, Fla.; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; sister, Mildred (Jim) Groshon of Auburn; and brother, Jerry (Judy) Bartell of Bryan, Ohio. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Roma Springer; one infant daughter; one grandson; three sisters; and one brother. Funeral service is 11 a.m. Monday, June 1, 2015, at Pathway Christian Church, 12732 Spencerville Road, Harlan, with calling one hour prior. Pastor Murray Clugston officiating.
