Jane Elizabeth Davis

battle with dementia. She was born on October 8, 1938 in Tigard, Oregon. She was the

youngest of 8 children of George and Leona Schmidt.

Jane and her future husband grew up on neighboring family farms outside Tigard, OR.

She married Donald Davis in 1958 and they lived just down the road from where they

grew up until 1976 when they moved to Birkenfeld, Oregon. She worked in the kitchen

at the Elderberry Inn Restaurant for many years doing whatever was needed. She

enjoyed gardening, her dogs and horses, family camping, hunting and fishing trips. After

Don retired, they traveled in their motorhome, spending time in Gold Beach, OR, Idaho,

Montana, Washington and Alaska.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald and her eldest daughter, Cathy.

Jane is survived by her children, Chris (Emma) Davis of Birkenfeld, Oregon; Betsy

(Gary) Rose of Tillamook, Oregon; John Davis of Portland, Oregon; her grandchildren,

Melissa, Sarah, Brian (Amanda) and Andrew and great-granddaughter, Eloise.
