Mary "Jo" Jennings

January 31, 1933 – January 8, 2018

Mary “Jo” Jennings, daughter of Joe T. and Louise Smith, passed away in Hanford, California on January 8, 2018. Jo was born on January 31, 1933 in Wheaton, Missouri.

Jo was preceded in death by her husband, Al Jennings. Together, they owned and operated Fashion Cleaners in Hanford for 20 years. The end of their ownership concluded when their honorary son Frank Silva who worked for them since the age of 16 continued the business. She was also a member of Hanford Emblem Club, Red Hat Society and supporter of the Fleet Reserve Association. Jo had many friends, and she treasured the time spent with each of them.

Jo is survived by her daughters, Nan Arnold and husband Jimmy, Leslie Kuehl and husband Hank, all of Hanford. Jo also leaves behind four grandchildren, Casey Arnold of San Luis Obispo, Kenny Arnold and wife Nicole of Hanford, Kirbie and husband Chad Oliveira of Clovis and Keith and wife Kayla Kuehl of Hanford, along with four living great-grandchildren, Liam and Lily Oliveira, Madelynn Arnold and Scarlett Kuehl and one predeceased great-grandchild Zooey Oliveira.

The family would like to thank the caregivers at Hacienda Convalescent Hospital, Diamond Terrace and Hanna’s Home Care for the comfort and support given to Jo.

In lieu of flowers, you may send donations to your favorite charity. Another option Jo would love is for you to enjoy a casino game in her memory.

A Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Grangeville Cemetery; 10428 14th Avenue, Armona, CA 93202.
