Hilda Frances Gonsalves, 94, passed away peacefully on June 18, 2024. Hilda was born on April 24, 1930 in Lemoore, California to Antonio and Anna Cardoza. Hilda married Tony Gonsalves on October 16, 1948. They resided in Riverdale where they raised their children. In 1985, they moved to Hanford, Ca.
Hilda was a loving, devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her family, watching lifetime movies, coffee, reading Danielle Steele books, shopping and strawberries. She was a very selfless lady who was willing to do anything for her friends and family. Her positive, easy going personality and great sense of humor made her a friend to all. She was a devout Catholic who loved saying the rosary.
Hilda is survived her brother, Butch (Sharon) Cardoza, daughter, Beverly Cretcher (Hanford) and son, Thomas (Carla) Gonsalves (Arroyo Grande,); 7 grandchildren - Michael (Linsey) Hughes, Chad (Jessica) Cretcher, Jane (Andrew) Catropa , Gina (Scott) Quattrochi, Erin (Anthony) Hernandez, Emily (Erick) Delgado, Anthony Gonsalves and 10 great grandchildren.
Hilda was preceded in death by her husband Tony, daughter Diane Hughes, her parents and siblings.

A Rosary Service will be held at 5pm, Monday, July 1, 2024 at People’s Funeral Chapel. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10 am, Tuesday, July 2, 2024 at St. Brigid Catholic Church in Hanford.
