Helen Marie (Roberts) Fraley age 81 a resident of Hanford, California passed peacefully in Scottsdale, Arizona on June 21, 2015. Preceding Helen in death is her husband, William (Bill) Fraley and her parents, Arlie and Ruby (Lenox) Roberts, sister Lunell Dunn and brother Jay Roberts.
Helen was born to Arlie and Ruby Roberts on May 15, 1934 in McAlister, OK. Helen married William (Bill) Fraley on August 3, 1950 in Lemoore, California. Bill and Helen's were childhood sweetheart and were married for 50 years until Bill's death.
Helen is survived by her son Michael Fraley and his wife Lori of Scottsdale, AZ and grandchildren
Shiloh McGinn and her husband James of Oregon, Dakota and Owna Fraley of Arizona and Shiann Marie. Great grandchildren Abilene and Adalyn. Nieces Patricia Vaughn, Paula Lewis and her husband Cleon, Brother-in-laws Bob Fraley and his wife Elaine, David Fraley and his wife Laura, Sister in-laws Gloria Turner her husband Gary, Diane Medico and her husband Mike, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Helen had a successful carrier with Pacific Bell Telephone that spanned for Illinois to California. She also worked as office manager at Laton Cooperative Gin and served as secretary for the Laton Water Company for many years.
After taking an early retirement from Pacific Bell, Helen enjoyed the passion and success that Bill and long time family friend, Ken Bundy had for raising and racing quarter horses. She would often say that those were some of the best of times traveling the state watching "Heck" as well as their other horses race.
In the 1990's Helen and Bill purchased Germain's Cotton Seed and she spent a great deal of time assisting in operations and traveling Europe to view their business activities. She especially enjoyed the culture and food of Italy and Greece.
Helen and Bill were active members of I.D.E.S. society and also members of the Church of Christ. She and Bill have a lifetime of fun memories with their dearest friends James and Shirley Avila of Hanford.
Though her last years were challenging, she continued to love and be loved by family and friends. It is so comforting to know that my mom is with Jesus and reunited with my dad and loved ones.
Services to be held on Saturday June27th at 10:00 am at the Hanford Church of Christ, 1596 W Grangeville Blvd., Hanford, CA 93230. Burial to follow at Grangeville Cemetery.
