Francisco was born on March 31, 1954 to Leonila and Juan Antonio Barraza in Durango, Mexico. He migrated at the young age of 18 to the Central Valley region of CA in search of the American dream. He quickly began working in agriculture and would continue to do so for almost 48 years. He was known for his strong work ethic, dedication to his employers and for his expert knowledge in pistachio, almond and pomegranate crops. In 1981, he met Guadalupe and they wed in 1982, going on to have one child, Aldo.
Francisco was a force of nature, determined to not only excel in his work but also provide for his family and give them the life he felt they deserved. His family meant the world to him. He was unendingly proud of his son Aldo and wife Guadalupe and always tried his best to support them.
Anyone who knew Francisco knew that he was a loving father and husband. His life was a living example of the Bible verse, Galatians 6:9 – “And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.” Francisco was predeceased by his mother Leonila, and his sister Carmen. He is survived by his wife Guadalupe; son Aldo; seven siblings, Teresa, Jose, Jorge, Candelario, Maricela, Martin, and Altagracia; his father, Juan Antonio; six Godchildren Gisela, Bethsaida, Mariana, Gabriela, Maddison, and Lucy.
