Evelyn Louise Coleman, 49 of Armona, California passed away Wednesday, April 6, 2011 in Armona, California surrounded by her loving family. Evelyn was a loving wife and mother and an amazing homemaker.
Evelyn was born in Hanford, California on April 15, 1961 to Glance C. Coleman and Lulamae Earnestine Alberty. She was raised and educated in Hanford, graduating from Hanford High School in 1980. She also attended College of Sequoias in Visalia, California. On January 18, 1985 she married Mickey Ray Coleman in Hanford and they created a loving home for their three daughters, Markeitha, Cynthia and Tatiana in Armona, California. Evelyn was a faithful member of the Calvary Church of God in Christ of Lemoore, California. She enjoyed singing for the Lord with her sister-in-law and best friend, Dorine. Evelyn enjoyed doing plays and skits that made everyone laugh. She had a passion for cooking and enjoyed being outdoors and fishing with Mickey. Evelyn was a wonderful wife, mother and friend and she touched everyone she met. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her father, Glance Proby.
Evelyn leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of twenty six years, Mickey of Armona, CA; her three daughers, Markeitha R. Coleman, Cynthia L. Coleman and Tatiana R. Coleman, all of Armona, CA; her mother, Earnestine Alberty of Armona, CA; two brothers, Henry Haney and wife, Julie of Oakland, CA and Jerry Proby and wife, Dorine of Hanford, CA; two sisters, Christine Bonner of Arizona and Emma Jean Johnson and husband, Willie of Jacksonville, FL;one step brother, Glance Proby, Jr. and wife, Trina of Fresno, CA; two step sisters, Evelyn Spears and husband, Ron of Los Banos, CA and Bevelyn Proby of Fresno, CA; two special cousins, Elaine Battiest of Armona, CA and Pastor Charles Williams of Hanford, CA; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 15, 2011 from 4 - 8 p.m. at People's Funeral Chapel, 501 N. Douty St., Hanford, CA. Celebration of Life Services will be held on Saturday, April 16, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Lily of the Valley Church of Lemoore, CA. Burial will be held on Monday, April 18, 2011 at 10 a.m. at the Lemoore Cemetery in Lemoore, CA.
