David was born March 21, 1959 to Fred and Elvira Cabrera. He was the 9th born from 10 children. At a very young age he learned work ethics, he started working in the fields with his family to help provide for the household. Later on in life his desire to take care of his family lead him to enlist in the army at the age of 18. Serving his country from 1977 to 1980.
Words could never describe the love, care, compassion and empathy he had for others. Always there in the time of need whether it was a shoulder to cry on, advice to be given, truth to be told, or someone just to sit and listen.
David was made to be a father. He knew what it meant to provide for his family and also knew what it meant to love unconditionally. The unconditional love spread to his sisters, brothers and family. He loved and cherished everyone dearly.
He was a kind and loving partner for 18 years to Martha Briano as well as an amazing father figure to her 6 children and a Papa to her 9 grandchildren.
David was a mans, man! Always stood for what was right. He loved God, his family and his country. He admired his job and loved what he did "Good Ol Trucker Dave"
He was survived by it's partner Martha Briano his daughters Denise, Christina, and Annette Cabrera, his son David Cabrera. His grandchildren Mariah, Alexis, Isaiah, Brianna, Jaden, Nevaeh, Jeremiah, Jason, David, Illissya, Jordan, Violet, Stephanie, and Josiah. And great-granddaughters Alaia and Bailey and soon-to-be great-grandson Kazaan. Also survived by his sisters Jenny Lopez, Beatrice Ochoa, and Angie Cabrera as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents Fred and Elvira Cabrera, his brothers Paul, Robert, Fred, Peter, and Joe Cabrera and by his sister Virginia Gomez and also predeceased by his grandson Brandon Farris.
