Born and raised in Panama City, Panama, Sheila graduated from Paraiso Junior Senior High School, and shortly thereafter, left for the United States. She settled in Virginia, where she eventually became an active and faithful member of LaCrosse Memorial Presbyterian Church in Hampton.
Sheila married Michael Henderson and from that union, she had her loving son, Michael II, who was the apple of her eye. Sheila loved people, which made her excel in the field of Hospitality Management. She loved to talk to her family and friends in person and on the phone. She loved to shop…had a shoe for every outfit. But when she wasn’t shopping, Sheila was doing her favorite pastime of spending time with and taking long drives with her beloved dog, Louie.
Sheila had a deep faith and belief in God that it carried her through several bouts of cancer. Through it all, she remained optimistic and lived life to the fullest. It was also that faith that allowed her to find love again later in life, with her husband, Trenton. Those who knew her will forever hold her in their hearts.
Sheila leaves to cherish her memories, her husband, Trenton; her son, Michael II; her four brothers and one sister, Orlando (Cynthia) of Virginia Beach, Guillermo (Mayra), Jaime (Norma), and Jorge (Teresa), in Panama and Cheryl (Lenard) of Hampton, VA; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and special and close friends too numerous to list by name.
