Rosemary Bradshaw Holland left this life on earth and entered her eternal home with Jesus on April 22, 2022 at the age of 94 after almost six years at Hampton Health and Rehab Center in Hampton, VA. Rosemary was born in Bozoo, West Virginia December 3, 1927 to Carl Lester and Violet Humphries Bradshaw.
She is preceded in death by her husband, James E. Holland, her siblings Bobbie Harold Bradshaw, Lorraine Bradshaw Johnson, Gay Bradshaw Burch, Carrol 'Bud' Bradshaw, Carl Lester Bradshaw Jr., Denny David Bradshaw, Eddie Ray Bradshaw, Connie K. Bradshaw; her sons Stanley and Jimmy Holland and granddaughter Kristin Leigh Holland Hamilton.
Surviving family members include siblings, Sharon Bradshaw Brooks (Lenoir, NC), Iris June Bradshaw Harris (Rocky Face, GA), Brenda Jean Bradshaw Belch (Chesapeake, VA); son William Ray Holland (Smithfield, VA); grandchildren, Michael Ray Holland, Tamra Holland, Joshua Holland and great grandchildren, Michael Ray Holland Jr., Alyssa Brianna Holland, Jason Keith Land, and Noah Greyson Hambleton.
Rosemary attended Maury High School in Norfolk, VA and married James ‘Eugene’ Holland prior to graduating. Rosemary and Eugene raised three sons in the Norfolk and Hampton, VA area until his passing in 1973. She then became a quality control inspector at Maida Development Company in Hampton for over twenty years.
Rosemary was a very special wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She was a gentle and consistent prayer-warrior impacting generations of souls. Her relationship with Jesus Christ was evident to everyone who knew and loved her. Rosemary was a glowing example of being ‘salt and light’ in this world all to the glory of God. Her presence in this world will be missed but those of us who remain rejoice at her joyous homecoming.
Viewing and memorial service will be held at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home, 2551 N. Armistead Ave., Hampton, VA 23666 on Friday, April 29, 2022 viewing from 3:00 – 4:00 pm and service immediately following from 4:00 – 5:00 pm. Tracy Bradshaw will officiate. There will be a private burial at Rosewood Cemetery in Virginia Beach, VA on Saturday, April 30, 2022.
