Rosa was known and loved for her determined spirit. Family was everything to her, and she looked forward to family vacations and cooking many delicious meals at holiday times. In her spare time, she enjoyed dancing with her many friends at Woodman's on Friday nights.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George W. Byrd; her parents; sisters and brothers; her daughter, Diane; and four of her grandchildren: Billy "Be", Matthew, Sherri, and James.
She is survived by one sister, Nancy Crockett (Wes); her son, Billy Byrd (Linda); her daughters: Patricia
Eaker, Terry Eaker (Roger), and Donna Talley (Robert); grandchildren: Chad (Aislinn) Bret (Christine), Ryan (Kira), Daniel (Codie), Jeremy (Jessi), Rachel (Alec), and Elizabeth; and many great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, October 13, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home, 2551 North Armistead Avenue, Hampton, VA 23666, with an interment to follow at Parklawn Memorial Park.
