He was born in Charleston, SC, to the late Harvey Riggs, Sr., and Louise Murphy. He was a web pressman at the Virginian Pilot for 20 years. After retiring, he started his lawn care business, Riggs Lawn Service.
He is survived by his sons, Larry (Ty) and his wife, Claudia LeBlanc and Matthew LeBlanc, all from Hampton, VA; four granddaughters, (his Beauties) Robin, Olivia, Laci and Tai Lynne LeBlanc.
There will be a private memorial service, per his wishes.
