Pat was a lifelong resident of Hampton, and it’s where she built her career and grew her family. Community, faith, and family were very important to her, and she maintained an active membership with Phoebus United Methodist Church.
She is preceded in rest by her parents: Jesse and Thelma Melson; and her brothers: Mahlen Melsen and Robert Melson—all of Hampton, Virginia.
Left to cherish her memory are her sons: Wallace Christopher (Nancy) of Poquoson, VA, and Bryan Christopher (Annmarie) of Charleston, SC; four grandchildren: Ashley Erhard (Cory) of York, PA, Kayleigh Christopher (Tim) of Richmond, VA, Kevin Christopher of Poquoson, VA, and Nicholas Christopher of Charleston, SC; and one sister, Carol Geissinger of Poquoson, VA.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM on Thursday, December 26, 2024, at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home, 2551 North Armistead Avenue, Hampton, VA 23666.
