I am so sad to say good bye to John.  He was a valued member of the Beamer family as the youngest of the cousins.  He was such a blessing for Hazel and Dewey and Richard and Joe.  He grew up to be a strong man just like his father and brothers.  He will be missed.  He will not be forgotten.  And I am so proud that he was my family.  

I was so sad to hear  about John,,Hazel and my mom were best friends so that meant John and had spent lots of time playing.  Prayers to all his family

A Salute to John:
As an older brother, I knew John from his birth. He was a special person. Throughout his life, John was totally dedicated to his family without reservation. He especially loved Ryan, Ashley, Audrey, and Carol. He had a positive influence on many lives: his associates at work as well as those in his neighborhood. Again,  he was indeed a special person who lead a special life.

We were tremendously saddened to learn of John’s passing. He was the youngest of our Beamer cousins. Each year we looked forward to seeing him at our reunion with a big smile and lots of stories to share about his family, his work, the VT Hokies, and all the memories of growing up in the Beamer family. We loved John and are going to miss him. He was truly a genuine, compassionate, caring person that loved his family more than life. We regret that we will be unable to attend his  celebration of life service. Please know that your family will be in our thoughts and prayers. We are sending a contribution in memory of John to the Rufus W Beamer  Endowed Fund at Virginia Tech foundation. We are also sending a potted plant for the service. We offer our heartfelt condolences to the family. We pray that your memories of John will comfort you, Our love, Billie Jean Hill, Barnett and Bonnie Beamer, Betty Semones, Frank and Cheryl Beamer 

We will always cherish the memory of the time we spent together this summer.  John will always be missed.

JOHN was not the ordinary neighbor, Everytime I didn't have the right tools for the project he would have it in his garage. In appreciation  to his actions  my kids got him a cheesecake  (hisfavorite) and I received a call the same night of how much he appreciated it with a broken voice of happiness. A great friend and well respected work mate, I will miss our early morning conversations.          

John and I spent a lot of time together when younger.  Our mother's were best friends so we played a lot he was always so funny but he had a big heart even then. So sorry to hear this. Prayers for all the family.
