Dolores Jean Taylor

Dolores J. Taylor, known to friends as "Dolly", passed away on Saturday, April 6, 2013 in Hampton. She was born on February 16, 1931 in Hiawatha, Kansas. Dolly was a clerk with the postal service and retired after 20 years of service. She loved to travel and enjoyed collecting dolls, spoons and figurines. She was a member of the Tidewater Doll Club for 20 years and was a supporter of Boy Scout Troop 29 in Hampton.
Dolores was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Taylor and one son. She is survived by two loving sons, nine grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 1 to 2:30 pm on Saturday, April 20, 2013 at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home, with a dinner to follow at 3:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that a donation in Dolores's memory be made to BSA Troop 29, c/o First Presbyterian Church, 514 S. Armistead Avenue, Hampton, VA 23669.
