With profound sadness we announce the passing of William Downey at the age of 86.
Predeceased by his parents William and Caroline Downey and brothers Carl (Patricia) and Patrick Downey. Bill leaves many nieces and nephews, Kevin, Margie, David, Linette, Grant, Craig, Colleen and Glen. He will be missed by his sister Diane Brown, brother Bob (Cathie) Downey, sister-in-law Marge Downey and dear friend Jean.
Bill loved sports and was a lifelong fan of the Hamilton Tiger Cats, Toronto Blue Jays, Toronto Maple Leafs and the Buffalo Bills.
Cremation has taken place and in accordance with Bill’s wishes, there will be no funeral. Interment will be held at Queens Lawn Cemetery, Grimsby, Ontario.
