Our earthly Angel has gone to Heaven and will be now watching us from above.
It is with great sadness that the family of Wanda announces her passing on August 25, 2010 in her 100th year at St. Joseph's Villa, Dundas.
Wife of the late Henry Miller (1984). Predeceased by her parents Gustov and Ameilia Finke.
Loving and devoted mother of Joan Smith (the late Donald 2001, the late Leigh White 1964), the late Leo Miller 2008 (Melva), Walter Miller (Joe-Ann), and Janice Ricottone (Ron). Wanda was a very proud grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. Predeceased by a grandson Paul Smith (Nov. 2005). She will be missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She immigrated to Canada from Germany in 1948 with her husband Henry in the hopes of a better future for her children.
Wanda always put God first in her life and loved her family unconditionally. She was a little lady with an enormous heart. She
sacrificed, gave and shared everything she had to make others happy. Her determination to survive no matter what challenges she faced throughout her life have been a pillar of strength for our family. Wanda was blessed to be able to see five generations of her family.
Special heartfelt thanks to the nurses and caregivers of St. Joseph's Villa (Willowgrove) for the special care and compassion shown to Wanda over the last ten years.
