It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Stanley on May 21, 2024 at the age of 91.
Beloved husband of Christina for 60 years. Loving father of Jack and Jason. Cherished grandfather of Jaidyn and Jordyn. Dear brother of Wesley. Predeceased by his sisters Marge Robinson, Iris Hasselmann and his brother Donald. Stanley was a graduate of the University of Manitoba, Mechanical Engineering 1956. He moved to Hamilton, Ontario in 1957 for employment at Westinghouse, later CAMCO and GE. He met his wife Christina and married in 1963. Early longstanding member of St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church where he acted as treasurer and clergy support and was a member of the Knights of Columbus. An avid sportsman who played baseball, varsity hockey and golf. Special thanks to the staff of Joseph Brant Memorial Hospital for their compassionate care. Visitation at Markey-Dermody Funeral Home, 1774 King Street East, on Sunday May 26 from 2-4 pm with Panachyda at 4 pm. Funeral Service at St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church, 260 Melvin Avenue, on Monday May 27, 2024 at 10 am. Interment to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society.
