Sarah Elizabeth White

Sarah was married to her soul mate and the love of her life, Ken Abell, who was such a loving and dedicated husband and cared for her throughout every step of her four battles with cancer in as many years. Sarah is survived by her loving parents, Vern and Kathy White and her older sister, Emily Coe, brother-in-law Ryan and her nephews, Cooper and Henry. She was loved by Ken’s brother Jonathan as well as Ken’s daughters, Zoe, Jessica and Fiona, and many friends, who she chose as family.

Sarah was a bright and positive light in each life she ever touched. She was deeply loved by the transgender community, where she was heavily involved with using her vocation as a makeup artist to help and encourage individuals through their transition journey.

It is with sincere and heartfelt gratitude that our family thanks Dr. Erin Gallagher, who’s commitment to Sarah’s comfort and well being went above and beyond the call of any GP; to her home care nurse, Babes, who was always so kind and caring; to her oncologists Dr. Helpman at Jurivinski Cancer Clinic in Hamilton and Dr. Levesque at the Walker Family Cancer Clinic in St. Catharines and to all the healthcare professionals who provided care so tenderly to Sarah, prior to and during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Sarah, you may have left this world but your spirit will remain with us forever. You are free now, Sweetie. Fly home.
