Sarah "Sadie" Rennie Simpson

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Sadie, on Sunday, August 5, 2012 in her 88th year. Predeceased by her parents Jock and Jessie Bell, her husband Walter and her sister Nan (Joe) Combe. Loving mother of John (Rosemary) and Frank (Sandi). Cherished grandmother of Tracy (Derek) Kozielski, Matthew, Stephen, Greg (Leah), Todd (Sarah) and Keri (John). Treasured great-grand-mother of Hunter, Madyson, Saylor, Hannah, Aidan, Joshua, Emma, Avery, Ryan and Joel. Dear sister of Mary (Bob) Wiffin and sister-in-law to Frank (Delores) Simpson. Fondly remembered by many extended family members living in Scotland. Loved and cherished by the many people she met on her incredible life's journey. Sadie had a special way of making everyone feel listened to and important, often going out of her way to see that their needs were met with phone calls, visits, shopping assistance or just providing them with her favourite home made goodies - perogies and peanut butter balls. At Sadie's request, cremation has taken place. A service of remembrance will be held at Cresmount Funeral Home, 322 Fennell Ave. E. in Hamilton on Wednesday, August 22nd at 11 a.m. followed by a reception at the Ukrainian Catholic Church of the Resurrection at 821 Upper Wentworth. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice.
