Ruth Halina Kuchabsky

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Ruth in her 101st year. Predeceased by her husbands Michael Fedecky (1977) and Steven Kuchabsky (2015). Loving mother of Roman and Wendy Fedecky and Michael Fedecky and John Arbuckle. Cherished Baba of Christi Fedecky and Andrew Gilchrist. Special thank you to the staff at Parkview Nursing Centre for their care and support. Ruth was a tireless organizer and fundraiser for many charities, as a member of Holy Spirit’s Ukrainian Women’s League and Ukrainian Social Services. She was a regular in the church hall making pierogies and cabbage rolls. She ran a small family business on Barton Street for many years. She was also an accomplished painter and spoke four languages fluently. She was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it and will be missed by all who knew her.

Visitation at MARKEY-DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 1774 King Street East, Hamilton on Thursday January 11 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm with Panachyda at 7:30 pm. Funeral Service in the Markey Dermody Funeral Home Chapel on Friday January 12 at 11am. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer’s Society would be appreciated.
