After a courageous five year battle with an incurable lung disease called IPF, Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis, Margaret, took her last breathe at The Bob Kemp Hospice. She will be deeply missed by her daughter Trish (Vince) Alampi, her son Mike Cutaia, and her grand-children, Kayla, Matthew (Kristin) and Michael. She was a devoted wife to Arthur Williams for 12 years and they shared many happy memories as they loved to dance, sip wine and travel. She will be reunited with open arms by her beloved father, Hamilton, her spunky mother Lillian, as well as her six siblings, Carol, Pearl, George, Shirley, Ronnie and Bill. She is survived by her younger brother Raymond Martin (Mary-Ann). She will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by her friends and extended family, especially Danny (Bonnie) who would call their “Dig It Mother” every day to put a smile on her face. Predeceased by her “Poopsie” Gary Morin and one of her best friends, Shirley Veltri. Her long-time friends Larry, Ad and Sandra will also miss her terribly, as well as her furry friends Rocco and Prince.
Our mom was a firecracker. She loved spending time with her family, especially with her grand-children whom she adored. She was always our family’s number one fan and biggest supporter throughout our entire lives. Our mother loved going to the casino any chance she got. She enjoyed watching her favourite teams play, The Toronto Maple Leafs and The Hamilton Tiger Cats, and she proudly cheered them on. Our mom loved reading Danielle Steele books, watching “Who’s the Boss or Reba”, on the television and doing word search puzzles, in large font while sipping her wine spritzer.
Our family will not be the same without her.
We would like to sincerely thank all the staff at The Bob Kemp Hospice for their excellent care and compassion during this difficult time. Special thanks goes to her medical team, especially, Dr. Kobe and Sarah at the Firestone Clinic, and Dr. R. Profetto for their exceptional care and support. We’d also like to acknowledge the dedicated nurses, PSW’s, her social worker, her care-coordinator and the Pro-Resp team for their diligence in supporting her and her oxygen needs. Special thanks to Marni for all of her love and support.
At our mother’s request, there will be no funeral or memorial service. Instead she ask that family and friends think of her whenever they visit the Casino.
