She will be sadly missed by her husband Gerry; her children, Dan (Janice), Kevin (Susan) and Geri-Lyn (Lee) Aston and her 5 precious granddaughters, Jessica, Leah, Erin, Claire and Julia. She probably will be missed most by her beloved "Charlie" the cat.
Kay was born and raised in her beloved Prince Edward Island. She was born March 23, 1935 to Frank and Agnes Murphy. She is pre-deceased by her siblings Lloyd (late Corona), George (Regina), Paul (late Barb), Frances Sherry (late Edgar), Margaret Conway (late Joe) and Phyllis McKenna (Wayne). She is survived by several nieces and nephews in B.C, Alberta and P.E.I.
Kay was educated in P.E.I. and became a school teacher. She later taught in P.E.I, Alberta and Ontario. She lived in several places throughout Canada and always made a lot of friends wherever she went.
Kay will be remembered as a beautiful, kind, gentle and loving soul who had a wonderful sense of humour.
Her family will receive friends at the Cresmount Funeral Home, 322 Fennell Ave. E. on Friday from 5-8 p.m. Proof of full vaccination, along with government issued ID, will be required to attend the visitation at Cresmount for those age 12 and older and masks are required. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 416 Mohawk Rd. E. on Saturday, December 18th at 9:30am.
Cremation will follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the SPCA would be greatly appreciated by her family.
