It is with great sorrow that the family announces the passing away of our beloved Julio on March 3, 2013 at the age of 85 in St. Joseph’s Hospital surrounded by his family and friends. Born in El Salvador on May 2, 1927. Son of the late Paulina and Manuel Lopez. Predeceased by his beloved wife, Ana Luisa. Dear father of Rina Hernandez, Lilian Ventura, Paulina Silva, Luz Lopez, Julio Lopez, Jose Mauricio Tobar-Lopez, Rafael Tobar-Lopez, Raul Tobar-Lopez, and Henry Lopez. Loving Grandfather of Oscar & Oliverio Hernandez, Ivette Lobo; Jenny Reay, Patricia Patterson; Rafael, Edwin and Andrew Silva; Michael and Jonathan Lopez; Natalie, Adam and Dylan Lopez; Kimberly and Emily Tobar; Sara Tobar; Danilo, Elizabeth, Jason and Raul Tobar; Bianca Thomson; and Daniella Lopez. And Great Grandfather of Jasmine & Arlo Patterson; Raulito Tobar; Wesley & Beya Reay; Lucia & Ainsley Silva; Jayden Hernandez & Isaiah Lobo. Uncle to Jorg Roman, German Mejia and their families. Special thanks to the doctors and nurses of the ICU at St. Joseph’s Hospital for their care, kindness and compassion. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, March 7 from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 pm at TRUSCOTT, BROWN & DWYER FUNERAL CHAPEL, 1309 King Street East (across from Gage Park at the delta) with prayers at 8:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at The All Souls Church, 21 Barton Street West on Friday, March 8 at 11:30 am. Interment will follow the service at Woodland Cemetery.
