Very saddened to hear of Ben's passing. Between working at Hamilton Mountain Bowl for 31 years and Burlington Bowl for the past 14 years, I knew Ben for a long long time!

My dear friend.  Where to begin...  You have been my right hand for over 30 years.  We worked together at Lenscrafter for 7.  Then, after several years of working at other places, we started working together again at the Eye Society which lasted 22 more years.

We were tied together in Volleyball when we started IHAVE and continued on with our Monday night volleyball where you were my director .  We were tied together in PMBL where we have been bowling Teammates for 35 years and you would become my secretary for the last 20.  We were tied together playing video games where would we spend not hours, but days playing - we almost burned down Ken's house.  We were even playing the night before...  I thought we would be playing again.

I know I scammed you into doing so many things - and as payback - you always told stupid jokes and just said dumb things.  What I would give to hear you say  somwthing stupid again.

RIP my brother Ben.

My condolences to the family. Ben has left this world too soon. I remember how kind and helpful he was growing up.  I remember folk dancing at Gage park and attending  Filipino school with him. There are many fond memories of our youth. I remember his smile and laugh. He will be missed but these memories will live on. RIP .

Ben, I remember all those fun times at work. You were always smiling and willing to give the shirt off your back for anyone. Unsurprisingly you were the same outside of work too - it was great playing video games/watching sports with the guys while enjoying your world famous ribs. You weren't just one of the guys Ben - you were THE guy. Miss and love you brother.

Ben was always a great friend and like family. He was pleasant, kind and always quite helpful to everyone. One of my fondest memories of Ben was of him singing to us at an Eye Society BBQ. He loved to sing at Karaoke and was a talented DJ at many of our company and family parties. He will always have a special place in our hearts and memories. Much love and our condolences, as well as our deepest sympathy to Malou, Bronson and Ethan.

It was an honour to know you and have you by my side while operating The Eye Society. You always acted with integrity and could be counted on to follow through, even during difficult times. You will be greatly and sadly missed. I will always remember our morning talks over a coffee and donut. Rest in peace, my friend, until we meet again in the presence of our Saviour.

I met Ben when we were  4.  The second friend I made in Canada.  Who knew, years of up and downs, that smile never that lit up every room and a gentle kind spirit that would never let anyone down.

My mom always talked about how friendly Ben was when she would pick up her glasses. He always made time to connect with her. After my mom passed, Ben and I talked about my mom. It was so nice to have someone share memories of her. 

Ben will be missed deeply from all his friends who knew him. He left an impression with everyone who met him. He was smart, kind and a true gentleman.

My dear friend, even though I've been away from Hamilton for the past 20 years, my memories of you are still as clear as the times we created them. The endless hours of video games and sports pools, intertwined with celebrations and gatherings are vivid images still within. The hours spent with you, Ken, and Cat at Ivan's house are special times that I always (and will forever) look back upon with great love and joy. I hope you are re-united with your beautful mother and great father! You left us much too soon, Ben. I'm grateful that I was able to see you one final time at my father's funeral this past January. Some of my fondest memories of Ben are from the late 80s early 90s when he, my brother and Ivan worked at Lenscrafters.  I'd be waiting at home until I saw Ben's cream coloured Mustang in front of our house which was a little after 9PM and I knew it was time to go next door to Ivan's house and play Motor Roader on his TG16 all night until the early hours of the morning.  Those are some of my fondest memories and will always cherish them.  To Ben's family.  I know that this time is extremely difficult and there's a lot of pain and frustration but have faith in the Lord.   Trust that Ben will be with our Lord in his kingdom and he's with you always.  God bless!!

Ben, you were the first to say “hello”, to mentor at work or on the sports field/court, encourage or cheer even if you were on the other team, worked tirelessly in the background on many projects so everyone participating could enjoy themselves, and you were a great uncle to my kids.  You elevated “kindness” to another level…and that smile, who didn’t feel they were welcomed seeing that??  It hurts that you’re gone but I’ll keep your memory in my heart always.  Rest peacefully my friend.

Lots of great chats were had at the back of The Eye Society with Uncle Ben whenever I came around for a visit. Unfortunately it wasn't often enough. He was always very positive and encouraging. There was not one mean bone in his body. I'll miss those talks and just being in his presence.

I am at a total loss for words! I have been a regular at Eye Society for the past 25 years. I always dropped in to see Ivan and Ben. These individuals where the ‘main stays’ there. Everyone in our family has purchased glasses from Ivan and watched Ben work his magic.
I would often go back and see Ben (not sure this was allowed) and chat over a Tim Horton’s. 
Ben was by far one of the nicest, kindest, courteous individuals I have had the opportunity to know. Our deepest and sincerest condolences to the entire family.  I do not want to sound cliche but our prayers and thoughts are with the family as this most difficult time. We are so sorry for your loss.
