I am so sorry to hear of Jack’s passing. He was the cousin closest to me in age and I used to love playing with him when we visited Hamilton from Montreal. He was a great dancer and I remember having lots of fun dancing with him at weddings. He was a nice guy😢

I  became involved with Alexander Park more than 15 years ago and without the mentorship of my friend John Whittaker from Mahoney Park I never would have survived.
Thank you John for all you have done to improve the lives of all those young people who called Mahoney Park home,

For the 35 years that I knew John every time I came across him whether it was at Mahoney park or just out in the community he was always wanting to stop and talk kid's baseball. He was one of the most dedicated to making sure  the park was ready for baseball. When I was coaching there you might stop in the afternoon to pick up your equipment and be in a hurry but John was always there working away,

I'll always remember how warm and welcoming Jack made me and my family feel whenever we met over the years. I'm sure his Mom will be glad to get him back.

To all of John's Family:
We want to express our sadness in hearing of John's passing.  We grew up together, 3 houses apart on Cope St.  John was like a big brother to me, sharing his passion for baseball and all sports.
I enjoyed many years with John as a  Boy Scout leader.  He was also very active with Fairfield United Church in their choir.
John was part of our wedding party 48 years ago.  
We have many fond memories of John and Mary.  He will be sadly missed.
