Peacefully passed away at Macassa Lodge at the age of 96. Reunited with his loving wife Esther. He will be missed by his children Esther, Jerry and Betty-Ann, his 6 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. John served in the army where he lost his leg. He was a war veteran and was very proud to be a Canadian. Thank you to the staff at Macassa Lodge for your loving care and support.
Proof of full vaccination, along with government issued ID, are mandatory to attend visitation for those age 12 and older. Masks are required. Visitation at MARKEY-DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth) on Tuesday December 21 from 11-1 p.m. Funeral Service in the funeral home chapel to follow at 1 p.m. Interment at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations to the War Veteran's Foundation and to Macassa Lodge would be appreciated.
